Amy is under the care of the Ohio Commission on Ministry as she pursues ordination and is our very own "Priscilla." She serves the larger church in two important ways.

Amy is a Board member for the Week of Compassion fund of the Disciples of Christ. She is seving a four-year term. Also, Amy serves as the Intern Coordinator for Disciples Peace Fellowship. There are usually three or four young adults who travel as interns each summer. They travel to different Disciples of Christ and United Church of Christ camps all over the U.S. and Canada for the entire summer, after attending a training session and orientation in Indianapolis at the General Offices. A former Peace Intern herself, Amy meets with the interns there to train them and help them get prepared to resource the camps. She is responsible for all the logistics for the program, including contacting churches, camps, regional offices, and Disciples of Christ colleges and seminaries.

Although Amy has traveled extensively over the years, including one year after college performing with Up With People, a year working at the Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center at Bluffton College, and four years of service as a peace activist in the former Yugoslavia, she still considers Kent her church home.
